Weekly Post

We will continue our study on Courage this Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. I hope you will plan to join us in the chapel for this time of teaching. This is not a "watch a sermon and discuss" video, but one that provides applicable teaching by Francis Chan, stories by teens going through the same struggles you may be going through, and I think you will find it a huge benefit. I hope you will make this a priority as you begin 2012 and seek to honor Christ with your life! I plan to follow up this study with "Culture Clash" as we look at illustrations within our culture in which Christian faith intersects with the secular world. We will take a look at what the Bible has to say about standing strong and shining the light of Christ in a dark world. You will want to get plugged in on Wednesday nights!

Our Talent Show was a blast! Thanks to all who helped and who performed. We raised around $1700 for our youth mission camp! I am so thankful for the generous members of the body at Mt. Zion.

Fuel will resume this Sunday as we continue our study "Revealed in RED". We will pick up where we left off with the Sermon on the Mount. I hope you will make a commitment to join us for worship each Sunday evening at 6:30 as we dive into God's Word.

Our youth drama team will resume practice on Sundays beginning Sunday, Jan. 29 at 5 pm. The drama team will focus primarily on leading during THRIVE on Sundays at 11 am (the children's ministry worship time). If you are interested in joining the drama team, then please drop me an email ASAP and I will get you in touch with Chris Campbell. Chris has already began working on scripts to get into your hands for this great time of ministry.

Praise Band will also resume this Sunday at 5 pm!

Impact weekend will be here before you know it! Make plans to join us March 11 and March 16-18 for IMPACT. am excited this year as 2 other churches have jumped in to join us for the event. The website is almost up and registration will begin in early February. REGISTRATION DEADLINE WILL BE SUNDAY, MAR. 4! We need host homes for this event. So, I want to send a plea to Mt. Zion parents to jump in and host for the weekend if you are able. Drop me an email if you are interested in hosting a home of boys or girls (8-10 students) for the 2 nights of IMPACT!
